The absolute high voltage fight at UFC 230 is almost upon us.The current UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will make his first 265-pound title defense against the “Black Beast” Derrick Lewis at Madison Square Garden in New York City on 3rd November 2018.
Daniel Ryan Cormier is a 39 years old an American light heavyweight mixed martial artist and former Olympic wrestler. He is considered to be one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time with other credentials of being a Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Champion and King of the Cage Heavyweight Champion. Currently, he is holding the top position of both the light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions of UFC.
Besides Cormier, there is only one fighter left in UFC history to hold titles in two weight classes simultaneously. He is the number 1 ranked Pound-for-Pound (P4P) fighter in the UFC, as of October 15, 2018. We can call Daniel Cormier as a wrestling master. Every single skill one can ever have is present into him; in one word he is just incomparable to anyone else.
On the other end, Derrick James Lewis, popularly known as the “Black Beast” is also an American professional mixed martial artist, currently competing in the Heavyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
On October 6, 2018, Lewis faced Alexander Volkov at UFC 229. After being visibly hurt multiple times, Lewis knocked Volkov down and subsequently finished the fight with follow up punches in the closing seconds of the bout. This magical win earned him the Performance of the Night award.
Three days later the UFC announced that Lewis is expected to face the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier for UFC Heavyweight Championship on November 3rd at UFC 230.
Though the level of wrestling and the ultimate fighting experience of Daniel Cormier is significantly higher than Derrick Lewis Lewis has unbelievable power of knocking people down and when he does it is an extremely violent fashion. This wild behavior gives the proper justification of the name ‘’black beast’’.
It’s a massive opportunity for Lewis, the ultimate game-changer who is coming off a come-from-behind knockout finish over Alexander Volkov at UFC 229, but one that he will enter as a massive underdog. He is doing his level best to prepare himself for the high motor and relentless pressure of Cormier, who captured the UFC heavyweight title with a knockout win over Stipe Miocic this past July, “Blast Beast” is making all the necessary adjustments in his training, as well as his sex life.
“I’ve been doing nothing but cardio. Even the sex,” Lewis said during a recent interview on The Rich Eisen Show (transcript via MMA Fighting). “The sex has really been helping my hips. I know Cormier is a wrestler so you really got to get them hips down on him so I’ve been working them hips really good.”
He is pretty good at boasting hilarious thoughts for his fans. It includes his hot-balls interview following his UFC 229 win, but this one ranks up there with the best of them.
However, “Black Beast’s” sex training isn’t going to be enough to close the gap with Cormier in the wrestling department, at least the knockout artist is trying to improve his imperfections as well.
Some believe that he is not the most deserving one because of his fighting style. It’s not the luck all the time, it vacates the extraordinary power of creating magic. It will be a visual treat for the viewers to experience the world’s finest wrestler DC fighting with the wildest and unpredictable knockout king Black Beast on life.
Most of all the reason of fight is on number one is when there is a meaning for the title on the line of any UFC event is likely to be the most important event of the card, which is undoubted, in this case, UFC 230.
